This works in Tactican Honour and after the Leader pops a Resist Pot, makes the party pretty much invulnerable to most magic attacks. So only direct generic Magic Armor removal spells can make you debuffed anyway.
This way with Leadership Aura, it can allow each character to be more evened out and when you approach 100, you don't "waste" much resistances by having a 115, but another 85, etc. I've kept and used rings several levels below for Elemental Resistance balancing. They only give one Armor type and the increase in level tends to be relatively small. In my case, I try to get the highest level Armor values I can except for jewelry and belt. Sometimes stats a important, sometimes Armor is. Of course it's always great to be up to date, but RNG won't always work in your favor even if you max Lucky Charm and camp the vendors alt-tabbing all day. Some gear you really hate to say goodbye to, but there is no shortage of gear in Rivellon, even for a party of four. In honor mode, it probably is a little more important to stay relatively current with leveled gear, but even in honor mode, you can usually find good enough gear without having to spend a single piece of gold.
I will stoop to "epic" gear often but prefer "legendary" until I can find suitable unique of divine armor for my party's level. Some armor (especially divine or unique armor) provide such great buffs to your character that the compromise of carrying a lower level of protection is worth it.Īt some point, you will find that you are being more easily crowd controlled because of your reduced armor level and you should start looking to buff your characters' stats in other ways until you can find gear that provides a new set of useful buffs.
There are some good reasons to retain lower level gear up to a certain point.
